Build Drag-to-Sequence and Stacking Activities Without Code

Build Drag-to-Sequence and Stacking Activities Without Code
Rise can ask which step comes first, but it can't let learners physically order a process. Sequencing is a skill you demonstrate by doing, but building a drag-to-order or stacking activity in Storyline means drop targets and variables for every item.
The Sort and Stack generator lets you define the items and the correct order visually, then export a single HTML file and embed in Articulate Rise, Storyline, Captivate, Canvas, Moodle, or any LMS that accepts HTML.
Use it for procedures, prioritization, and any content where sequence or hierarchy is the point, so learners prove they can order the steps, not just describe them.
How To Use the Generators
Each tool in the eLearningDesign.org ecosystem follows a streamlined, three-step workflow designed to keep you focused on instructional strategy while we handle the technical execution.
Input Your Content: Open the Content tab to add your specific learning prompts, interactive options, and coaching feedback. This is where you build the logic and instructional heart of your activity.
Customize Your Design: Switch to the Design tab to align the tool with your course aesthetic. You can manually adjust colors, typography, and layout structures to ensure a seamless visual fit.
Generate and Embed: Go to the Generate tab to finalize your tool. Click "Copy Embed Code" for your authoring tool's HTML block, or "Download as HTML" for local hosting and offline use.
Common Use Cases
Procedure Training: Have learners drag steps into the correct order to prove they can sequence a process before performing it on the job.
Prioritization: Ask learners to stack tasks or risks by importance, turning an abstract framework into a hands-on decision.
Hierarchy and Ranking: Let learners arrange concepts from foundational to advanced so they internalize how the pieces build on each other.
Technical Specifications
Visual Interface for Code: Focus on your instructional strategy while the generator handles the complex logic of tile-flipping and matching.
