Interpret the Chart

Give learners a real chart and ask what it actually shows.

Best for: data literacy, reporting, analysis.

Dashboards get rolled out with a training module that explains what each chart is called. Nobody checks whether people can read one. The result is a workforce that can name a trend line and not tell you what it means.

Interpret the Chart puts a real chart in front of learners and asks what it shows. You add the data, the questions, and the feedback, then export a single HTML file you embed in Articulate Rise, Storyline, Captivate, Canvas, Moodle, or any LMS that accepts HTML.

Use it for reporting training, data literacy, and analyst onboarding, where misreading a chart costs more than not seeing one at all.

WHY IT WORKS

Interpret the Chart asks learners what a real chart shows before revealing the correct reading.

Trying to answer before seeing the answer improved later learning, even when the attempt failed. Kornell, Hays and Bjork (2009).
