Rise multiple choice gives four options and one is obviously right. Real discrimination means choosing between two things that both look reasonable. Building a two-option comparison with tailored feedback in Storyline means custom slides for every pair.

This or That presents pairs of options and asks learners to pick the better one with immediate feedback, then exports a single HTML file you embed in Articulate Rise, Storyline, Captivate, Canvas, Moodle, or any LMS that accepts HTML.

Use it for best-practice comparisons, policy application, style discrimination, and any module where learners need to tell better from worse, not right from wrong.

How To Use the Generators


Each tool in the eLearningDesign.org ecosystem follows a streamlined, three-step workflow designed to keep you focused on instructional strategy while we handle the technical execution.

  3. Generate and Embed: Go to the Generate tab to finalize your tool. Click "Copy Embed Code" for your authoring tool's HTML block, or "Download as HTML" for local hosting and offline use.
